The turmoil in Iraq & surrounding areas has taken a toll on more than 50,000 families - mostly Christians - who are being singled out, persecuted, and even murdered because of their religious beliefs.These people were until recently, exactly like many of us: business professionals, salespeople, lawyers, and teachers. The mission of this group is to respond to the call of Jesus to care for the “least of [His] brothers". The targeted are all those in the parish who are facing an economic crisis and are lacking basic necessities to survive. The main strategy is to create a network of individuals and organizations, and not duplicate existing efforts, that would address the basic spiritual, medical, and daily needs.
